What to Memorize

Updated: Mar 22

The scriptures I chose and recommended to my students are not only some of my favorites, but they strengthen me most when the devil tries to eat my faith.  I call these anchor scriptures because I feel they anchor my faith in God.  The scriptures focus on God’s love, God's faithfulness, God's omnipotence, God’s omniscience, and God’s omnipresence.

Anxiety, fear, doubt are all a direct result of our inability to believe, meditate on, and focus on God’s omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, and omnibenevolence.  We don’t truly comprehend the depth of God’s love…. Authority, existence, presence or His desire for us to live in peace…  When you memorize the word, you can meditate on it day and night.  You grow as it becomes a part of you.  You believe it.  You live it. People won’t know why you’re responding to difficult circumstances in a peaceful manner.  They won’t understand why you’re always calm during the storm.  You will know it’s because you have the word hidden in your heart and with every fiber of your being you trust that He who promised is faithful!  You have  confidence in His power, His wisdom, His presence, and His love.
